Dye Sublimated Lanyards

Dye Sublimated Lanyards are made of a tight, smooth, and soft to the touch polyester fabric. Dye sublimation works well for full color designs that incorporate the entire surface of the lanyard. If you have a number of design elements, details and various colors in your lanyard design and you are prepared for the longer production time this process requires, dye sublimation may be your lanyard of choice. To make the lanyard your artwork is printed in CMYK (combining the colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) on a special sublimation paper. The image is created with dye sublimation ink which is infused into the polyester fabric by heating and pressing the paper over the fabric. The press holds the image in place tightly against the surface of the fabric and the heat “sublimates” or vaporizes the dye so it becomes a permanent infusion into the fabric.
